Instructor
Jeff Flaim
Jeff Flaim is a third-generation woodworker with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Claremont McKenna College (you’d be surprised how handy that is when you’re trying to hand plane a piece of curly maple). I am dedicated to the pursuit of hand-crafted furniture and the use of hand tools. From carved spoons and turned bowls to fine furniture, I approach every project with respect and reverence for traditional woodworking techniques and their tools. It is my hope to share these skills and instill in students the joy of creating something by hand.
